Enoch, who was the chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council for the APC (Ahmed Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima) 2023 presidential election in Oru-East, was allegedly gunned down while returning from a meeting with stakeholders at the Oru-East council headquarters on Tuesday evening.

A community source disclosed that the deceased was ambushed by armed men who forced him to park his vehicle before shooting him and dumping his body in the trunk.

At the time his lifeless corpse was discovered on Tuesday evening, it was also determined that the deceased appeared to have been killed by three gunshots to the head.

According to multiple accounts, the deceased’s lifeless body was discovered by passersby who spotted blood stains under a parked vehicle and then alerted the community’s residents.

In the interim, SaharaReporters was unable to obtain an official response from the police or the government of Imo State regarding the unfortunate incident.

The command’s spokesperson, Henry Okoye, reportedly told journalists in Owerri, the state capital of Imo, that he had not been apprised of the incident.

However, he noted that information regarding the incident would be made public as soon as more details became available.
