According to Lamidi Apapa, the factional leader of the Labour Party (LP), if the lawyers defending the LP and its presidential candidate Peter Obi at the election tribunal don’t meet with him within 48 hours, he would replace them. He went on to say that the solicitors for Peter Obi and the party have refused to meet with him, and that party elders are currently working to resolve the situation. Apapa stated that he will do nothing if the lawyers refuse to visit him, indicating that Nigerians will not hold him responsible for their inaction.
