Gbajabiamila remembered telling Abbas, “But as God would have it…,” that he would only follow the APC’s choice.I’ll say this because I believe that many people give me more credit and authority than I deserve. I’m often accused of zoned speakership.I hand-selected while zoned. I really want those abilities.” PUNCH reported.

According to him, “I questioned the zoners, “Why North-West? ” I was told to read my political history, they said. Since since Nigeria’s founding, the North-West has had the greatest vote bloc, consisting of seven states.” Source stated.

The Speaker further mentioned that, “the South-West and the North-West were primarily where the APC emerged on the national arena. “Why would the North-West be ignored in your or our time while making calculations? Apart from the votes they brought in, which accounted for 30% of our totals, there are a lot of additional reasons why they zoned it to the North-West.” According to the source.

PUNCH further reported, He said, “The Vice-President was desired by the Northwest. The future president made the choice to travel to the northeast. So the least he could do was give them speakership in exchange for what they contribute. That’s how easy it is. It was not zoned for me. I would love to.”
