Mustapha said the president had given the appropriate government agencies instructions to work with the team of the president-elect and facilitate the transition process.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation is in charge of the Inauguration Committee; the Head of the Federation’s Civil Service is in charge of the Transition Documents Committee; and the National Security Advisor is in charge of the Security, Facilities, and Intelligence Committee. These three committees were established by the Presidential Transition Committee.

Mustapha presented the agenda for the 2023 presidential inauguration, which would be streamed live on social media sites and televised live on key stations. He stressed that the fact that both local and foreign media were present at the press conference showed that Nigerians and the rest of the world wanted to support the democratic transfer of power.
