Bola Tinubu’s scheduled inauguration is a done deal till a decision is made, according to Wahab Shittu

In a statement issued in Lagos as reported by The Nation, Shittu said inaugurating the president-elect is necessarily a rule of law prescription, saying no court of law would make a pronouncement to the contrary.

He said Bola Tinubu has been issued a certificate of return following his declaration as president-elect by INEC. He said until the court gives a verdict, there’s no way the process of inaugurating Bola Tinubu as president can be legally truncated. Continue Reading>>>>

He said “INEC has declared Bola Tinubu as winner of the election, they’ve issued him a certificate of return as legally prescribed. Those who are aggrieved have challenged the declaration in the presidential election petition tribunal. Until a verdict is entered one way or another, the process of inaugurating the president-elect cannot be legally truncated or put on hold. The inauguration of the president-elect (Bola Tinubu) as scheduled is a done deal.”
