“Judge Me As Governor For 8 Years, Not As A Niger Delta Minister,” declared Akpabio

A former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Senator Godswill Akpabio has called on Nigerians and members of the 10th National Assembly not to judge him based on his record as Niger Delta minister.Continue Reading>>>

Senator Akpabio said in an interview with Journalists after a meeting in Abuja that he will like to be assessed strictly based on his performance as Governor of Akwa Ibom state and as a commissioner of 8 years.

Senator Akpabio speaking on his chances of becoming the next Senate President stated that he’s confident that his goal will be achieved. He affirmed that they are still in the process of consultation with other senator-elects in the APC and the opposition party.Continue Reading>>>

He said, ”I do know that I have not changed in any way, I am somebody God has given the opportunity to be an uncommon transformer wherever I go. I will not like to be judged as a Niger Delta minister, which everybody knows is a problematic place. But I would like to be judged by my record as a lawyer of 36 years, commissioner of six years, and a governor of eight years.”
