has urged Nigerians not to judge him by his performance as a member of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. Senator-elect, Akpabio disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.

However, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who won the Presidential ticket and eventually emerged winner of the 2023 presidential election, will take over from President Muhammadu Buhari on 29 May.

He said.

The Senators-elect, did not change in any way. I will not be happy to be judged by ministerial appointment for Niger Delta, which everybody knows is a problematic place in President Buhari’s cabinet”. But, I would like to be judged by my record as Governor, a lawyer of 36 years, and Commissioner of six years.

Furthermore, he promised that if elected Senate President in Tinubu’s administration, he will work tirelessly for the development of Nigeria. Moreover, he would sustain the January-December budget cycle initiated by the 9th National Assembly.
