According to reports currently making the rounds in the country’s media space, the Joe Biden administration, on Monday, announced that it will send a 9-man delegate of United States Government officials to attend Tinubu’s swearing-in ceremony scheduled to take place at the nation’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on May 29, 2023.

However, in a tweet posted on his Twitter handle on Tuesday morning, Sani, who is a prominent chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accused the American government of not caring about Nigeria’s democratic system and electoral processes. As expected, Senator Sani’s scathing criticism of America has drawn quite a flurry of mixed reactions from a cross-section of Nigerians online with many coming out to share their thoughts.

While some persons concurred with his displeasure at the decision taken by the Biden administration to send delegates to Tinubu’s inauguration ceremony, others, however, chose to absolve the United States Government of any blame.

A few others proceeded to question the rationale behind the visa ban America said it recently placed on election violators in the just-concluded general elections in Nigeria.
