He called the president’s efforts to pin the problem on his administration “futile attempts to twist events and history.”

According to The PUNCH, Buhari has apologized to angry Nigerians who were unwilling to forgive him because of his administration.

The governor stated that he has forgiven the President, supporting his remarks with passages from the Christian Holy Book.

When you don’t forgive, God won’t either, he added. I have pardoned President Muhammadu Buhari because I am a student of the Bible and a born-again Christian.

Ortom expressed hope for a better performance from the incoming Bola Tinubu administration in both the state and the country as a whole.

“We hope the new administration will support, assist, provide security, economic development, and peace for our people.”

“We have endured suffering for eight years.”

He did, however, advise Buhari to stay in Nigeria and work with Tinubu’s administration to bring the state and country up from “bottom to top.”
