Nigerian activist, Charly Boy has taken to social media to claim that the ruling APC party quickly conferred Bola Ahmed Tinubu the GCFR award because they afraid of the ruling at the Supreme Court today, challenging the eligibility of the President-elect to contest in the 2023 presidential election. Recall that incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari had yesterday bestowed President-elect and vice President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima National Honours in the category of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) and Grand Commander of the Niger (GCON) respectively.

Recall also that the Supreme Court had on Monday, fixed May 26 to deliver it’s judgement on a petition that was filed against President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu being qualified to participate in the February polls.Continue Reading>>>

And so Charly Boy in response to such award and petition, took to his official Instagram page to react, as he stated that the APC party are maneuvering, adding that;

“The only reason they rushed to bestow GCFR on Tinubu is because they are scared of today’s impending judgement, nothing else”.

Charly Boy further stated that there are a few good judges who are desirous of a better Nigeria, adding that “Obidients” are behind such judges and they are waiting for their judgements.

The veteran entertainer finally noted that the judiciary will not be ambushed.
