“Clean Up The Environment, Or You Will Be Dismissed From Your Position” – Umahi

The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, has ordered officials of public and private schools in the state to clean up the environment in order to avoid being sacked. Continue Reading>>>

Premium Times News reported this morning that Mr. Umahi, in an executive order issue on Thursday, said his resolution to coerce the school officials followed reports that grass had grown over some schools in the state, with many of them looking unhabitable.

He further explained that the unhabitable premises constitute an environmental hazard and have been greatly affecting the infrastructural and aesthetic beauty of the schools in the state. Continue Reading>>>

“The purpose of this executive order is to ensure that cleaning up the environment is mandatory for all public and private secondary and primary schools in Ebonyi State.”

Anyprincipal or headmistress who fails to comply with the directives will be dismissed or expelled from the school”, he added.
