Tomorrow, the Supreme Court will make a ruling on Senator Kashim Shettima’s disqualification case for double nomination as APC Senatorial candidate and Vice Presidential candidate in the 2023 general election. Edu confidently stated that she could bet that Tinubu and his Vice President-elect will not lose the case. She believes that the Supreme Court takes into account various factors about the country before giving its verdict. She said, ”I can tell you this, the Supreme Court judgement will go in Tinubu’s way and I can bet that with anybody. I’m not trying to preempt the Supreme Court judgment, there is no script at all. ”Tinubu has given Christians a seat at the table of power even before his inauguration,” she stated. I am a Christian, and my party has produced Nigeria’s first priest as governor. Bola Tinubu is not a religious bigot; he is a Nigerian for all Nigerians. Look about him: Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s wife is a pastor and a Christian. This is a people-centered government. And religion will not impair his judgment.”

It is important to note that Edu’s statement is just her personal opinion and not a reflection of the Supreme Court’s decision-making process. The Supreme Court is an independent institution that considers evidence presented before it and makes judgments based on the law and the Constitution.

Therefore, it is crucial to wait for the Supreme Court’s official judgment on the matter. Until then, any speculation or personal opinions on the outcome of the case should be taken with a grain of salt.
