He vowed to run the country without letting his own interests interfere. At the ongoing inauguration celebration, the swearing-in and taking of the oath took place on Monday at Eagles Square in Abuja. He swore Kashim Shettima in as his vice president.

Olukayode Ariwoola, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, administered the oath of office. At the Eagle’s Square in Abuja, Vice-President Kashim Shettima took the oath of allegiance before Vice-President Tinubu did at approximately 10:37 a.m. Bola Tinubu of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), was successful in the Presidential polls on the 25th of February, 2023, polling 8,739,249 votes to win the election.
