A Gubernatorial position is a crucial office in any democratic country as there are the machinery that determines how a state is being run.

According to Punch, a candidate must be at least 30 years old to serve as a State Governor in Nigeria, but as is obtainable in the country presently, there are no Gubernatorial leaders in their thirties like they used to be before. CONTINUE READING>>>

Yahaya Adoza Bello

Mr Bello is the current governor of North Central State Kogi. The 47 year old was elected as governor in 2015 and reelected again in 2019. He is the youngest governor in Nigeria and the only governor to be born after the Nigerian civil war.

He is poised to leave office on January 2024, and was among the many candidates that had declared interest in running for the last Presidential election under the platform of APC. His profile has risen rapidly over the course of his term, partly due to his relative youth when compared to other Nigerian politicians. Academically, he has a bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
